Reflexology is a holistic therapy based on the principle that there are areas and points on the feet, hands (and ears) that map via the nervous system to corresponding parts of the body.
Experiences during reflexology sessions vary from feelings of bliss, to a general sense of relaxation and rest to a conscious awareness internally of the area of the body which is being worked on.

When pressure is applied to these areas and points it stimulates the movement of energy along the nerve channels. With over 7,000 nerve endings in the human foot, this stimulation releases a surge of endorphins that activate our parasympathetic nervous system – putting us in a state of deep relaxation, and allowing our bodies to begin the critical job of nourishing, regenerating - promoting homeostasis (balance) in the whole body.
" A truly relaxing experience. I have had several reflexology treatments for my general wellbeing and to help with tension in my neck and shoulders and I quickly noticed the benefits. "
The holistic balancing properties of reflexology are extremely beneficial to our overall wellbeing as well as a wide variety of symptoms or conditions.

Very calming to the nervous system, reflexology may be particularly beneficial if you struggle with insomnia, anxiety, headaches or are struggling with stress, which can shift multiple body systems off-balance (our digestion, immune system, hormonal balances and much more). It also supports the pain and discomfort that accompanies musculoskeletal imbalances.
Supporting the body’s own healing processes it can sooth or energise depending on the body’s needs.

Reflexology* is beneficial for everyone.
Importantly more vulnerable clients (eg the elderly ) can enjoy this non-invasive calming and supportive therapy.
*The benefits of reflexology are widely recognised by doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Depending on individual circumstances or needs it may be recommended that multiple sessions would be desirable over a period of time (this is optional).

I offer Reflexology as an individual therapy as well as within my Nutritional Therapy packages.
